To know Krishna as Bhagavan is a privilege reserved for bhakti-yogis. “I am never manifest to the foolish and unintelligent,” Krishna explains (Bg. 7.25). “for them I am covered by My internal potency, and therefore they do not know that I am unborn and infallible.”"For I say to you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes (the teachers of (religious) law) and Pharisees, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven…"
~ Matthew 5:20, Jesus Christ; The Holy Bible One can understand Me as I am, as the Supreme Personality of Godhead, only by devotional service. And when one is in full consciousness of Me by such devotion, he can enter into the kingdom of God.
~ Bhagavad Gita 18.55 "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven."
~ Matthew 7:21, Jesus Christ; The Holy Bible
Jesus answered:” My kingdom is not of this world…”
~ John 18:36; The Holy Bible Jesus answered: “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and [of] the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”
~ John 3:5; The Holy Bible

Affirmation
The breeze of Thy love wafts through me, O Father! The leaves of my tree of life gently tremble in response to Thy coming. Their blissful murmur floats through the ether and calls weary ones to rest in the shade of my peace.

Give Unceasing Understanding To All

We so love our own thoughts that we can’t always understand what the other person is thinking. We are cooped up in a little pen of our own concepts; just like the little frog that lived in a well: When a frog from a huge lake fell into the well and told him about his vast home, the little frog only laughed and wouldn’t believe him. He had never seen anything beyond the confines of his well, and was thoroughly convinced that his home was the largest body of water there could possibly be. This is the limited attitude of nations as well as individuals. Each nation thinks its views are best.

We have to learn to give unceasing understanding to all, even those who misunderstand us….It is human nature to think we know better than anyone else. But the only way to truly know anything is by cultivating divine understanding.

When you resign yourself completely to God, when you are never tempted to pray for selfish ends, and when you are sure that God is your spirit, that He is your soul and everything else—then you are free.

To deby people their human rights is to challenge their very humanity. To impose on the a wretched life of hunger & deprivation is to dehumanise them.

The relationship that exists between friends is the grandest of human loves. Friendly love is pure, because it is without compulsion. One freely chooses to love his friends; he is not bound by instinct. The love that manifests in friendship can exist between man and woman, woman and woman, man and man. But in the love of friendship, there is no sexual attraction. One must practice celibacy and absolutely forget sex if one wants to know divine love through friendship; then friendship nurtures the cultivation of divine love. Such pure friendship has existed between saints and between others who truly love God. If you once know divine love, you will never part with it, for there is nothing else like it in the whole universe.

Affirmation
Teach me, O Father, to find my oneness with Thee in the peace within and the tumult without. I care not whether silence or noise surround me, if at all times and in all places I may feel Thine enveloping presence.

Proof Of God’s Existence

As confined water rushes out in all directions when the walls that hold it are broken, so also the consciousness of man is freed when the embankments of bigotry, egocentricity, and restlessness are broken. By the practice of meditation, the consciousness expands and merges with the blissful, omnipresent consciousness of Spirit.

The purpose of meditation is to calm the mind, that without distortion it may mirror Omnipresence. Calmness in meditation is the primary positive state of mental expansion; the bliss of divine union with God is the final state. The ultimate proof of God’s existence will come through your own experience in meditation. Once you have found Him in the cathedral of silent meditation in the depths of your soul, you will find Him everywhere.

-Paramahansa Yogananda, Journey To Self-Realization, 299; Affirmation, Whispers From Eternity, 80.
